Let’s work it out.
Contact SipLedger support for help, privacy requests, or a security concern. You choose what to include in your message.

A short description of what happened, what you expected, your app version, and iOS version is usually enough to start. Screenshots are optional; cover personal details first.
Never send your Apple Account password, verification codes, payment card details, or a complete journal backup just to report a problem. SipLedger’s email link does not automatically attach your records or device information.
Common questions
Where are my records saved?
Your journal is saved on your device first. Optional iCloud sync uses the private database associated with your iCloud account. A local save and an iCloud acknowledgement are different events.
Check the visible records, pending revisions, cloud-confirmed/downloaded revisions, and conflict counts separately. A zero pending count alone does not show that another device has received your data.
How do I back up or restore my journal?
Open Settings → iCloud Sync & Backup, then use Export Local JSON Backup. Save the file somewhere you can access later.
To import, choose Choose JSON and preview import, review the proposed changes and account ownership, then confirm only if they are what you intend. You can cancel at the preview step.
Complete JSON backups include drink entries, favorites, separate serving-size presets, complete source text, and deletion markers for each collection. They exclude label images, purchase status, account binding, sync permission, and cloud acknowledgements. Older entry-only JSON files remain supported. The preview identifies favorites and presets as not included, and importing such a file does not remove those existing collections. An import with conflicts is not written; review the conflicts first.
Why isn’t iCloud syncing?
On the Data & sync page, preview the current iCloud merge, review it, and confirm to enable that session. Then use Sync now. Leaving the page or putting the app in the background stops that session’s permission.
If an operation fails, preserve your data and check your network, iCloud sign-in, and available storage. Read the error before retrying. If the account or data changed, make a new preview. Contact support if the error persists.
Stopping sync does not delete data already in iCloud. Do not uninstall the app or clear data to troubleshoot a sync error.
How do favorites and serving sizes sync?
Favorites with their default serving sizes, separate serving-size presets, and drink entries share one iCloud merge preview and confirmation. Both devices need the same iCloud account and an app version that supports all three collections, and each device must sync. Check pending revisions, acknowledgements, and conflicts for each collection. A zero pending count on one device does not prove another device has received the data. Editing a favorite or selecting a serving-size preset does not by itself rewrite earlier drink entries.
How do I restore SipLedger Pro?
Open SipLedger Pro from Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that originally purchased Pro and allow the App Store check to complete.
Pro is a single lifetime purchase, with no subscription or automatic renewal. If you still see the free plan after restoring, contact support with the result shown on screen. Do not send account credentials.
The purchase price and currency follow your App Store storefront. Choosing English or Chinese in the app does not choose a currency. For refunds, see Apple’s refund instructions.
Can I correct or undo a label scan?
Compare the recognized numbers and units with the package. With a valid consumed amount and a calculable label result, a scan can create an entry automatically. Changes within that capture session update the same drink; use the session’s undo action if needed.
A missing sugar value means unknown, not zero. Compare results with the original label. You can edit the consumed amount in a saved entry, but the original automatically recognized nutrition values cannot currently be edited there. Undo an incorrect result during the capture session, or delete the incorrect entry and create a new manual entry.
Deleting data: what it means
Deleting a drink entry, favorite, or serving-size preset removes it from normal lists; it does not permanently erase all stored content. Earlier revisions and deletion information remain locally and, if synced, may remain in your private iCloud data. The app does not currently erase every retained historical revision. Stopping sync does not erase existing copies either.
The current app does not provide a complete erasure control for every stored revision. Exported files, saved images, and system backups are separate copies. Stopping sync or hiding an entry does not erase those copies.
For a privacy or deletion request, email support. We can explain the available controls and handle information you sent us by email; we do not operate a server that can remotely inspect or erase your private journal.
Protect your journal
- Protect your iPhone and Apple Account with the security options Apple provides.
- Treat JSON backups as private documents. They contain complete source text and are not password-protected by SipLedger.
- Check your selected destination before sharing a backup or an image.
- Review account ownership and merge changes before enabling an iCloud session.
To report a suspected security issue, email a security report privately. Start with the affected feature and steps to reproduce using made-up data. Do not publish private records or credentials in a public GitHub issue.
